temperament test

You Have a Melancholic Temperament |
![]() Introspective and reflective, you think about everything and anything. You are a soft-hearted daydreamer. You long for your ideal life. You love silence and solitude. Everyday life is usually too chaotic for you. Given enough time alone, it’s easy for you to find inner peace. At your worst, you brood and sulk. Your negative thoughts can trap you. |
I’m guessing this test is related to the theory of the four humours. I can agree about being melancholic (at least I’m not phlegmatic, if only because of the awful sound of the word, though I’m sure it’s much more healthy). I’m doubtful about the “wise” bit, amongst other things (the description, ‘soft-hearted daydreamer’ makes me want to kick a wall, for example).
I can’t help but think that being perched on a ledge is a bit extreme for an illustration of melancholy and that the girl in the image could use some warmer clothes but maybe that’s just the black bile talking.

Anything wrong? No! (I just _would_ manage to make a flippant comment about the next person’s type, wouldn’t I?)
You are cool, collected, witty, a good friend — all the positive things mentioned for phlegmatic.
I suppose, upon reflection, even if the word sounds like a coughing fit, on balance, and knowing you, it’s a lovely thing to be :)

Well, apparently I am melancholic:
I’m not really convinced, but then, 5 questions, and some of them too hard to give a reasonable answer makes it tough. And at times at least it is true I suppose…

Yeah, exactly re: 5 questions and being convinced. I’m sure I’m not always melancholic, but am not so surprised to have gotten the answer on a rainy, grey Sunday.
